Fall fishing can be some of the best action of the year in Wyoming. The flows are stable, and the water is gin clear. The annoying mosquitos are gone, and most of the fish are looking up. This is the time of the year where small streamers or a “dry-dropper” rig can be deadly. Don’t forget about terrestrials, either. Fall is the time to throw hoppers, beetles, and ants (trout candy) for unmatched success!

Rig up that four weight for dries and that six wt for streamers and get on the water! Winter is not far off, and now is the time to make hay!
