THOMAS & THOMAS AVANTT FLY ROD

Simply put, this is a fantastic fly rod on every level!  Quick, subtle, responsive, light and has some serious backbone to put the wood to big trout!  I first fished this rod on the Beaverhead in Montana and it quickly became one of my favorite rods because it had the backbone to bust through the wind, put some serious pressure on the big fish there and yet it was fun to cast all day without feeling like I was waving a 2x4 around.  If you have ever fished in big fish water, you know how important it is to be able to really put the pressure to the pigs and this rod can do just that.  We fished streamers to dries and this rod handled everything I could throw at it and then some.  If you are serious about fly fishing, then you should have this rod in your arsenal!  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
