Fly anglers do not fish soft hackle patterns enough....simply stated and that is a fact!  Soft hackle patterns should be in the arsenal of every fly angler and tyer.  The reason is that they just work and sometimes they work so well that you will become a die hard convert to the practice of fishing nothing but emergers and wets.  

Hungarian Partridge is widely known for being outstanding tying material.  The feathers are "flecked" and are extremely buggy.  This feather is also used as tailing material, tying in legs or even as a "beard" on some patterns.  

These feathers are premium quality and have a high quality vein that resists splitting so that you can get multiple wraps out of one feather.  WROC uses Hun feathers all the time and highly recommend that your tying bench be amply stocked with these!
